Freaks, Geeks and Asperger Syndrome
by Luke Jackson
published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers
This is a great book written by a teenager for teenagers. Luke is an excellent writer and writes in a way that other teenagers can relate to. It covers many aspects that concern adolescents including whether to tell other people, how to cope with school and bullying and dating.

Asperger Syndrome, the Universe and Everything
by Kenneth Hall
published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers
Kenneth Hall is a 10 year old boy with Asperger Syndrome. He describes his life and his opinions. It is a lovely book, obviously written by a child, but at the same time it explains how he feels about the world around him and is easy and fun to read.

There are a number of really good novels for children and teens about coping with Asperger's or Asperger's-like symptoms:
MARCELO IN THE REAL WORLD
EMMA JEAN LAZARUS FELL OUT OF A TREE
ANYTHING BUT TYPICAL
THE VERY ORDERED EXISTENCE OF MERILEE MARVELOUS
MOCKINGBIRD (this is mine, but it's getting excellent reviews so I've included it in the list)
Great idea to put these lists together!
